Part of the appeal of hiring a limousine is so you can really stand out while you’re travelling to your event, especially when you arrive at the venue. Perhaps this is why you’ll sometimes see vehicles that really push the boat (limo?) out when it comes to interesting and unusual design. We’ve been searching around and seen a few examples that might inspire you if you want to make a statement with your choice of limo.
We’ve seen a few examples of this particular approach, usually achieved by taking two of the same car or truck, removing the back and fusing the two front ends together. This is one way of extended a vehicle since the interior space is doubled, and you end up with the bizarre effect of having two fronts and no back on your limo. The perfect statement piece!
This is a relatively popular option and you’ll probably find a few of these available if you do your research. The fun contrast of taking a bulky Hummer and turning it into a stretch limo seems to appeal to a lot of people, especially when the whole thing is painted in a vibrant colour. Pink and gold are two of the most popular colours, other than a classic black.
VW Beetle Limo
One of the most popular cars of all time is the innovative Volkswagen Beetle, so it was only a matter of time before someone decided to transform it into a quirky limousine. This limo looks surprisingly natural, capturing the personality of the compact Beetle in a much longer form.
Like the Beetle, the Mini is an iconic car that’s instantly recognisable and also known for its small size. This seems to make it an ideal candidate for being turned into a limo, because we’ve found several examples of these around the world. You might prefer the charming classic design, or opt for a newer version for a more executive experience (and a little more space).
Extra Long Limo
If you simply want to defy convention by travelling in a particularly long limousine, you might want to opt for one of the world’s longest limos. These might be hard to track down, and of course there is only one vehicle with the title of the longest limo in the world, a hundred-foot vehicle in California. Good luck booking it, though, as it’s reserved for TV shows and movies.
